The large, high-ceilinged living room opens onto a central courtyard filled with tropical plants and a fishpond. Many books, photographs and lamps add to the tasteful but casual feel of our homestay. The living room opens out onto the front veranda overlooking the swimming pool and the hills beyond. Here guests can lounge on comfortable cane furniture and enjoy a cool drink or a game with our in-house backgammon champ.
Our gardens are filled with flowering trees and plants that attract an amazing variety of birds and butterflies. There is every chance you will see any number of bird species including peacocks, sunbirds, hornbills, kingfishers and the resident paradise flycatcher without stirring from the shade of your veranda! Monkeys are almost a nuisance and porcupines and civet cats are some nocturnal visitors.
